My journey to becoming an advocate and practitioner of the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) is fueled by personal experience and a deep commitment to empowering others. After serving 21 years in the Marine Corps, I knew I needed a new mission something that could bring real value to people’s lives. During my transition out of the military, I encountered aggressive pressure to buy life insurance, a product I barely understood. Rather than feeling cornered, I became determined to educate myself and make informed choices. That experience ignited my passion for understanding life insurance inside and out, leading me to discover the power of IBC. Today, I’m on a mission to share this knowledge with others, helping them take control of their financial future.
That research was a turning point in my life. Like many, I wish I had known about the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) much earlier—maybe even as a child. The truth is, the best time to start a whole life insurance policy was yesterday. Nelson Nash, the pioneer of IBC, beautifully compared it to forestry. He described how managing life insurance policies is like cultivating a forest—planting trees over time, allowing them to grow, and eventually harvesting them. Just as a forester divides land into sections and plants new trees each year, with the goal of having mature trees to harvest in the future, so too does whole life insurance grow and mature over time. The earlier you “plant” your policy, the better it performs, providing a steady flow of cash value throughout your life, just like harvesting from different sections of a forest.
This analogy is at the core of why I’m so passionate about educating others. Nash’s teachings emphasize the power of time—starting early allows your policy to mature, offering long-term financial benefits and stability. It was this realization that pushed me to understand life insurance in a way I never had before.
